Originally designed to assist PNW Rope Support Team members with various ropes related duties, the SAR BUDDY has proved useful for lots of back country tasks. The SAR BUDDY measures only 4″ x 6″ and weight under an ounce. It’s mass goes virtually unnoticed in your radio chest harness, emergency rope bag or pack.

Rope Support Uses:

• Prusik / pulley stand off
• Technical gear racking and storage organizer. Use with SKEDCO Biner Buddy for even more capacity
• Pull cord / pilot line storage reel and throw weight. Holds 65′ / 20 meters of 1/8″ P-Cord
• Rope sharp edge protector. Simply girth hitch a 2′ loop of P-Cord to the “head” end and Prusik onto your rappel line

Back Country Use:

• Clipboard support for writing those Soap notes of SAR reports in the soggy wilderness
• Wrist and hand splint when combined with a sling and swath
• Helps insulate your stove from snowy ground
